Sale-a-Bration is in FULL SWING!

It’s here!  Today is the launch of the 2018 Occasions catalog and Sale-a-Bration!  I am sure that I have said this before, probably all of the last five years that I have been a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator but…Sale-a-Bration is truly my favorite time of the year.  I remember when I was just a customer and it was this time of year, it was soooo exciting to choose FREE stuff when I was shopping!

So what’s all of the fuss about?  When you shop from January through March from any of our amazing products from our Annual Catalog or the newly launched Occasions Catalog (haven’t seen it yet?  Download your copy HERE.) you get to choose a FREE item from the Sale-a-Bration Catalog for every $50 you spend.  This year there is a bonus for you SUPER Shoppers!  We have 2 items that you can select for free when you order $100, or you can order two of the $50 level freebies.  Download your copy of the Sale-a-Bration Catalog HERE.

There are actually 3 ways to earn some perks during Sale-a-Bration…

And don’t forget to use the January Host Code when placing online orders!  Use Host Code QU7FVJDK when placing any online order less than $150 and receive a FREE gift from me!  Do not use the host code for orders $150 or more as you will earn your own Host Rewards (extra $25 during Sale-a-Bration for orders over $250!) and you will still get a FREE gift from me!

So, today we actually have a SNOW DAY in Florida!  It’s mostly a wet and cold day which we will experience some freezing rain.  I am off now to take advantage of two days off of work (I work for the public school district here and we closed for these two days) and plan to play with all of my Occasions and Sale-a-Bration goodies!

Stamp away the winter blues with these January Stamportunities

Hello and Happy New Year!  I am happy to welcome in 2018 as I believe that it is going to be a wonderful year!

I have some super fun Stamportunities for you to stamp away the winter blues this month.  Currently we are having our very first multiple day span with below freezing overnight temps.  Today the temps have dropped all day and Gainesville currently sits at 35 degrees but it fells like 26 degrees!  That is about frigid for us!  But I am blessed to have a gorgeous fire in the fireplace keeping the house and I warm!

Mark your calendars for these fun stamping’ events and if you are local to Gainesville, come and join me!

Find all of the event specifics and RSVP by visiting my events calendar HERE.

Thanks for stopping by!

The Holiday Catalog and most of it’s products are retiring tomorrow!  Have you shopped the Year End Sales Event?  Get your favorites before they are gone!

Did you know that when you place an online order with me that I will send you a special gift?  Just use the Host Code when placing orders under $150.  Do not use the Host Code when placing orders $150 or more:

A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop – Back in Plaid

Hello and happy Thursday!  Do you know what tomorrow is???  DECEMBER!  I swear, this year has flown by!  Am I the only one that feels that way?

If December is tomorrow then that means there is only one more hop in 2017, after this one, for this fun A Paper Pumpkin Thing group.  If it’s your first time here, welcome.  This hop is a group of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators who take our monthly subscription kit, Paper Pumpkin, and we make an alternate project.  We use the kit supplies and maybe add a couple things from our stash then join here each month to share it with YOU!  If you would like more info about the Paper Pumpkin subscription, check it out HERE.

Maybe you made it here by way of Rick Adkins or maybe you just started here.  Either way, welcome!  We hope that you enjoy the projects and even make some on your own! So sit back, enjoy, and make sure you visit all of the blogs to check out what the other artists made for you!

This month’s kit, Back in Plaid, is totally adorable.  If you didn’t see last month’s kit, Pining for Plaid, it coordinates with the November kit!  See that kit and my alternate project post HERE.  Here is the kit, as it was designed:

They are adorable little linen stockings ready to be gifted or hung.  My alternate project doesn’t stray too far from the original project, but when I was holding the sweet little stocking in my hand, I wanted to use it, just differently than I had seen anyone else use it yet.  So if you have seen something like this – don’t tell me, because I haven’t!

I decided to make a Hanging Christmas Sachet, scented with my favorite holiday smells: Cinnamon, Allspice and Cloves.  First, one of the things I have seen other subscribers do, I embossed the stocking using the Cable Knit Dynamic Embossing Folder. Some have suggested spritzing it with water or hair spray before embossing, to help the design hold, but I chose not to do this.  The result was a soft texture.

I looked for cut cinnamon sticks, as I had read that they were enhanced with cinnamon oil for an extra fragrant effect.  They are rumored to be much cheaper than buying Cinnamon in the grocery store also.  I was walking out of the store, defeated, when my nose smelled something, CINNAMON!  I walked one isle over and found the culprit, a bag of cinnamon scented pine cones!  YES!

I used by heavy duty kitchen shears and clipped of each the scales.  Yes, this is what they are called!  I had to google it because my husband thought they were called petals…makes sense, but nope, they are called scales.

I filled my stocking with this approximate combination:

  • 1/3 C. Cinnamon Scented Pine Cone Scales
  • 1 T. Allspice
  • 1 T. Whole Cloves

I sealed the bag with with a couple strips of Tear & Tape.  I took a couple of the die cut green leaves and attached them to one of our Green Sprigs using glue dots.  Finished the sprig off with some Cherry Cobbler Baker’s Twine, that came in the kit and then attached to the stocking using glue dots.  To make it extra secure I would use a dab of Hot Glue.

I used a craft knife to cut a tiny slit in the corner of the top of the stocking and threaded it with Gold Ribbon.  Now it’s ready to hang in my truck, or my kitchen window…anywhere I want to enjoy the smell of Christmas!

So, let’s see what else the other’s have in store for us today!  Hop on over to Kelly Acheson, I know she going to wow us!  Click the button below to go straight to her blog:

A:  Normally you order Stampin’ Up! products through the online store; in this case, you will click the RESERVE link on the Stamparatus page which will take you to the reservation page. For step-by-step instructions, please see the How to Reserve Your Stamparatus Tutorial for Customers.

Q:  What if I do not have a Stampin’ Up! customer account?
A:  To reserve a Stamparatus, you must have a customer account. To create one, click Create Account on the online store.

Q:  Why does it take so long for the Stamparatus to ship?
A:  We will place an order with the manufacturer based on how many reservations are made during any given reservation window. Shipping dates depend on how long it takes the order to arrive in our warehouse after the tools have been manufactured.

Q:  Will the available – to – ship dates be the same for all markets?
A:  Yes.

Q:  Am I billed at the time I reserve my Stamparatus?
A:  No. However, a credit card is required to reserve the product.

Q:  Once the Stamparatus has been added to my shopping cart, how long will it stay there?
A:  Indefinitely. As with all products, it will be subject to temporary interruptions in availability depending on demand.

A:  Yes.

Q:  Can I participate in all three reservation periods?
A:  Yes.

Q:  How many stamp placement tools can I reserve per reservation window?
A:  For customers, there is a limit of 1 per reservation window.

Q:  How did we come up with the name Stamparatus?
A:  We landed on an innovative name by combining two words thatspeak to the end use of the tool as well as Stampin’ Up! branding.

Stamp:  To impress a pattern or mark (especially an official one) on a surface, object, or document using an engraved or inked block or die or other instrument
Apparatus: The technical equipment or machinery needed for a particular activity or purpose
Stamp + Apparatus = Stamparatus

Now that you read it all, are you ready to reserve yours?
If you are my customer and reserve the Stamparatus under my demonstrator name, please email me to let me know ([email protected]).  I will be sending out a special gift around the same time that the Stamparatus ships to you!
