Hello! Welcome to the April OSAT Blog Hop!
If you came over after seeing Renee Ondrajka’s awesome projects or just hopped on, welcome. This month we are celebrating our inner hippie with our Flower Power hop!
I just returned from an awesome weekend with my crafty Stampin’ Up! friends. We were all attending an event called OnStage. It’s a great combination of training, recognition and FUN! Part of the fun was that we got our hands on the new catalog, that will be launching on June 1st, and even came home with some prizes – new stamp sets! The sentiment on this card comes from a set called “Just Add Text” that will release with the new catalog in June.
When I saw the stamp set, I knew that it would coordinate beautifully with the Affectionately Yours Designer Series paper, currently discounted in our Retirement sale! A quick banner, a doily and some linen thread and this card was quickly done! I paired it with an envelope made using our Envelope Punch Board – such a nice trick to just kick your card up a notch!
For the layer on the card front, I modified a piece of the DSP, cut out with the retiring Project Life Cards & Labels Framelits Dies, also on sale, and added the leftover piece to the inside of the card. I loved the curved edges.
The card was paired with a SUPER quick and SUPER simple Ghiradelli chocolate treat! Here’s The Quick & Crafty to create your own:
I think I might just make about 500 of these little treat packages. They were SO EASY and aren’t they just the cutest?
I hope you enjoyed the projects today. Make sure you continue on to see what Jeanna Bohanon made for today!

Thanks for sharing the sneek peek stamp set and the instructions on the file gift card holder – can’t wait to try!
Thanks Melissa! The candy holder was so easy! You can even add a little banner or circle sentiment to fancy it up 😉
Great use of that beautiful DSP! I really love how you’ve finished off the inside of the card & that chocolate wrapper is super cute! xx
Thanks Jessie! I was about to throw that little piece away and thought, nope…perfect for inside!
OMG! It’s so amazing!
Jennifer, this is hands down the BEST card I have seen yet using that DSP! I’ve always said it’s such a bold pattern, it needs just the right amount of something to go with it and you nailed it with the doily and simple sentiment! I will totally be CASE-ing this card! Crystal
