Hello! Welcome to my very first Blog Hop! I am excited to share that I will be hopping with the One Stamp At A Time group for the entire year! I couldn’t be more excited to join this talented group of stampers and I hope that you enjoy these and all the projects we are sharing today in the hop.
The theme of this month’s hop is All You Need Is Love…perfect for this time of year, don’t you think? Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and I am always motivated to make a special card for my husband, David. He is so supportive of my Stampin’ Up! business and I always want his cards to be extra special.
For David’s card I wanted to steer clear of bows, rhinestones and glimmer paper. He really likes contrast, or “the POP” as he calls it, so I loved using the Sending Love DSP stack paired with Basic Gray and Whisper White.
If you want to curl your baker’s twine into those cute curly cues, just take the flat edge of your paper snips (closed) and pull it down your twine. It just takes a few passes to get those adorable curls.
As you might be able to see in the picture above, the card is slightly bulky. I have been seeing these super fun Twisted Pop-Up Cards. Although a little daunting at first glance, it really wasn’t as difficult as I thought it would be. When you open this card, it’s like a MAGIC show! You can find the fabulous picture tutorial and video HERE that I used to make this fun card.
The sentiments from the Blooms & Wishes Photopolymer stamp set are PERFECT for your love notes! This one just about says it all for what I feel about my David 🙂
I had to have something sparkly so since I kept it off the card, I simply layered Real Red cardstock and a piece of the Sending Love DSP into a 5 x 7 photo frame and topped it off with some Red Glimmer LOVE letters. The hearts in the itsy bitsy banner were cut from the Sending Love DSP using two hearts from the Sweet & Sassy Framelits.
